Abstract

Teacher Competency Test Results in Cultural Arts Subjects in Upper School of Music in Tanah Datar District are still relatively low with an average score of 62. The purpose of the application of the Music Art Training Model "MedisDemladem" to improve teacher skills Cultural Arts Subjects in the field of music especially vocal techniques. The research method used is this study using the method of action research with the aim of conducting an investigation of the ability of teachers through the process of training in music art. The results of the study of the application of the "MedisDemladem Music Art Training Model" illustrate that the average pre-test score of 20 trainees was 44.28. After conducting music art training, the average value of the post-test results is 79.02. The increase in the average value of post-test and pre-test (gain score) is 34.73. This condition shows that the MedisDemladem Music Arts Training Model can significantly improve the ability of Cultural Arts Subject Teachers in the Field of Music Arts, especially Vocal Engineering.
