THE EFFECT OF DISCIPLINE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT ON WORK ACHIEVEMENT OF BRI BANK EMPLOYEES, PAYAKUMBUH . BRANCH WITH WORK MOTIVATION AS INTERVENNING VARIABLE

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of work discipline on employee motivation at Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch; (2) to determine the effect of the work environment on the motivation of employees of Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch; (3) to determine the effect of discipline on employee performance at Bank BRI Payakumbuh Branch; (4) to determine the effect of the work environment on the work performance of employees of Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch; (5) to determine the effect of discipline on work performance with motivation as an intervening variable at Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch; (6) to determine the effect of the work environment on work performance with motivation as an intervening variable at Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch; (7) to determine the effect of motivation on the work performance of Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch. either partially or simultaneously. The population is 49 and the sample used is 49 employees of Bank BRI Payakumbuh branch. The data of this study used primary data obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis, t test, F test. The results of regression and hypothesis testing showed that 1) Discipline had no significant effect on employee motivation of BANK BRI Payakumbuh Branch. 2) Work environment has a significant effect on employee motivation of BANK BRI Payakumbuh Branch. 3) Discipline has no significant effect on Work Performance at BANK BRI Payakumbuh Branch. 4) Work environment has a significant effect on work performance at BANK BRI Payakumbuh Branch. 5) The effect of discipline through motivation on work performance has a significant effect. 6) The influence of the work environment through motivation has no significant effect. 7) Motivation has no significant effect on work performance for employees of BANK BRI Payakumbuh Branch. The magnitude of the contribution of the influence of the variables of Discipline (X1) and Work Environment (X2) and Motivation (Z) on Work Performance (Y) of employees of BANK BRI Payakumbuh Branch is 28.6%. While the remaining 71.4% is influenced by other variables.
