INFLUENCE OF WORK STRESS ANDEMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT PT. ARTA BOGA CEMERLANG PADANG

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether work stress affects the performance of employees at PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. To find out whether emotions affect the performance of employees at PT. Arta Boga Cemerlang Padang and to find out whether work stress and emotional intelligence affect the performance of employees at PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. The method used in this data collection is field research and library research. The data research techniques used in this research are, Interview and Questionnaire. This study uses a quantitative approach and the data used are primary data. The population in this study 35 people with a sample of 35 people using the Total Sampling technique. The data analysis method is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Determinant Coefficient, while the hypothesis testing method is the t-test and F-test. The results of this study indicate that (1) Job stress has a positive and partially significant effect on employees at PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. (2) Emotional Intelligence partially positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. (3) Work stress and emotional intelligence simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. This means that the contribution of Work Stress and Employee Emotional Intelligence is 81.9% while the remaining 18.1% is influenced by other variables not examined such as work environment, leadership, work relations and salary. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. (2) Emotional Intelligence partially positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. (3) Work stress and emotional intelligence simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Arta Boga Brilliant Padang. This means that the contribution of Work Stress and Employee Emotional Intelligence is 81.9% while the remaining 18.1% is influenced by other variables not examined such as work environment, leadership, work relations and salary.
