Abstract

Following the outbreak of the global outbreak of Covid-19, the Movement Control Order (PKP) came into force in March 2020 which required students to use online programs during the study process. Educators use a variety of techniques to share knowledge and information with students through the internet. Assessment of learning readiness among students in schools around the district of Kota Kinabalu who follow learning in form six is the goal of the study. The study design involved a total of 230 form six students as respondents, and it represented a sample that represented the findings of the study. Questions in the form of questionnaires were uploaded to the student telegram application using the Google Forms application. Social Science Statistics Software (SPSS) version 23.0. used to analyze the data. The questionnaire was divided into several sections: Section A (Demographic Information), Section B (Readiness Level), Section C (History Students ’Online Application Knowledge Level), and Section D (History Students’ Telegram Application Usage Level). The level of preparation, knowledge, and use of telegrams by history students is encouraging, evidenced by the conclusions of this study. Studies on the use of telegram applications as a technical instrument to implement the learning process of online history courses could be a model for future research.
