Abstract

Kewujudan platform media sosial dapat memberikan pelbagai kemudahan dan kelebihan di dalam pelbagai bidang seperti bidang ekonomi, pemasaran, perniagaan, teknologi maklumat, pelancongan malah tidak ketinggalan juga dalam bidang pendidikan ekonomi. Tujuan kertas ini adalah untuk membincangkan tentang kesan penggunaan media sosial dalam keberkesanan pendidikan ekonomi. Walaubagaimanapun, masih terdapat beberapa isu tentang penggunaan media sosial untuk tujuan pendidikan ekonomi iaitu timbulnya masalah teknikal dan penyalahgunaan dalam media sosial. Kajian ini menggunakan analisis sorotan kajian daripada kajian-kajian lepas. Tambahan lagi, kajian ini telah mencadangkan model yang diambil daripada Bandura’s Social Learning Theory (SLT) dan mempunyai elemen penggunaan media sosial dalam pembelajaran yang dapat mempengaruhi prestasi akademik seseorang pelajar tersebut. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi sumbangan kepada semua pihak terutamanya kepada pelajar dan para pendidik untuk meningkatkan keberkesanan pembelajaran dalam pendidikan ekonomi dengan menggalakkan penggunaan platform media sosial dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (P&P).
